Q&A: Exciting developments at Darling Brew

We found out what exciting developments are underway at Darling Brew, and what riders can look forward to from the company at this month’s PwC Great Zuurberg Trek.

Q: What does the sponsorship mean to you as a company?
A: Darling Brew loves being associated with this awesome event. As a beer brand we believe in responsible drinking and a responsible lifestyle, it is all about balance. Darling Brew Extreme is all that. The weekend has become known for amazing routes and a fun family day out at the brewery.

Q: What service will you bring to the event?
A: Every rider over the age of 18 gets to quench his or her thirst with a post-race beer. The longer route riders might just get a few beers on route too… What better way to end a race than hanging out at the brewery after? The race has become known for its awesome atmosphere and this year will be no different. My personally favourite local band, Stone Jets, will be wowing the crowds before and after the prize giving.

Q: What can riders look forward to from Darling Brew?
A: We have some amazing light beers, which we think are the perfect post-ride drinks, so we will be promoting these on the day.

Q: What are your views on the event?
A: I wish I wasn’t part of the organizing team so I could be riding it!!!

Q: Are there any exciting developments underway at Darling Brew? Something the public can look forward to soon?
A: We have bought the land next to the brewery and are planning on increasing our offerings to the public. This also means even more space for next year’s DBX! We are also currently investigating opening taprooms in various provinces, so for those who are too far from the brewery we are going to bring the brewery to them.
